Hello and welcome! I'm Imen, founder of GCSE French Mastery, and a passionate French teacher dedicated to helping students succeed, gain confidence, and achieve the highest possible grades in GCSE and IGCSE French.

As a native French speaker with a Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I have worked in outstanding schools across the UK, supporting students of all abilities in their GCSE and IGCSE French journey. Over 1000 students have been taught through my work in UK secondary schools, with hundreds prepared individually for their GCSE and IGCSE French exams, improving their skills, growing in confidence, and achieving excellent results including top grades.

I genuinely love what I do and take pride in creating lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs. Whether a student is aiming to pass confidently or striving for grades 8 and 9, I am committed to helping them unlock their full potential.

Which exam boards do you cover?

All three major UK exam boards for GCSE French: AQA, Edexcel and OCR. IGCSE French students are also welcome. Lessons are adapted to your child's specific board and tier (Foundation or Higher).

How do online lessons actually work?

Lessons take place via Zoom or Google Meet. Students join from any laptop or tablet with a microphone. Materials, exercises and feedback are shared digitally on screen, and recordings can be provided on request for revision.

Is the first consultation really free?

How long before I see progress in my child's French?

Most students notice improved confidence within 3 to 4 lessons. Significant grade improvements typically appear after 6 to 8 weeks of regular weekly tuition, especially when paired with consistent homework.

Do you teach IGCSE, adults, or only GCSE students?

GCSE and IGCSE French are the core specialism. Adult learners and all levels are also welcome, from absolute beginners to advanced learners preparing for A-level or personal goals.

Where are you based? Do you teach in person?

All lessons are delivered online to students across the UK. You don't need to be local to access high-quality French tuition. Online tuition is just as effective as in-person, with the added flexibility of evenings and weekends.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes. As a teacher currently employed in an Ofsted-Outstanding UK secondary school, I hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate — the highest level of background check required to work with children and young people in the UK. Parents can book lessons with complete peace of mind.
